Since 1994, members of DPR's Community Recreation team have partnered with us to actively engage youth in programming that promotes learning, health, and the development of important life skills in a fun and safe environment. DPR generously provides staffing for Scholars After School, and a grant to underwrite staffing costs for the Summer Scholars program.
We've expanded! We're proud to be serving students beyond Denver, and look forward to expanding our partnership with APS.
We're proud to have been awarded funding via the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. Our 21st Century grants, administered by the Colorado Department of Education, enable us to provide summer and after-school programs at several sites. Thanks, CDE!
The Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) Program is a statutory program providing funding to local organizations for prevention, intervention, and education programs for children, youth, and their families designed to prevent youth crime and violence, youth marijuana use, and child abuse and neglect.
A top priority of the Office of Children’s Affairs (OCA) is to increase access to and participation in quality after-school and summer programs. the OCA invests in and supports innovative programs that improve engagement, boost achievement, and develop strong social and emotional skills for youth.
