Celebration marks 25 years!

Think back to the summer of 1993….

You might remember seeing Sleepless in Seattle or Jurassic Park at your local cinema. Or visiting a casual new burrito restaurant on Evans Avenue called Chipotle. You probably remember cheering every homer… every strike-out… and every victory of the Colorado Rockies’ very first season.

We remember 1993 for something else. Because that was the year that Cyndi Kahn and Paul Hamilton, the principal at Hallett Elementary, put together a summer reading program for 20 young students at Hallett.

The success of that program spurred the creation of Summer Scholars — and that means we’re celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year!

So we’re doing things a bit differently in 2018.  We think a 25th Anniversary deserves something big. So we’re planning a celebration to commemorate our first 25 years — and to launch the next 25!
